Directions

Strayside Cottage is located at 14 Newnham Terrace, and is a few minutes’ walk from Harrogate District Hospital and approx 15 minutes’ walk into Harrogate town centre. If you are arriving by car from the north along Skipton Road, please take the first exit at the Empress roundabout, onto Knaresborough Road and Newnham Terrace is the first turning on the right, the cottage is located halfway down the street on the left. If you are arriving from the south, along Wetherby Road, please take the third exit at the Empress roundabout and follow the above instructions from there. If you are arriving from Leeds, as you approach the town, please take the third exit at the West Park roundabout, drive for approx 1 mile along the side of the Stray, until you reach the Empress roundabout, and go straight over onto Knaresborough Road, then take the first turning right into Newnham Terrace.

If you are using public transport, it is advisable to get the train into Harrogate station and then a taxi from there. Regular buses operate from the end of Newnham Terrace in both directions of Harrogate town centre and Knaresborough.

On street parking is available for one car – a free permit is provided for guests. Additional on street parking is available within a 5 minute’s walk of the cottage.
